Thanks!
FaunOS would not be possible without the contributions of many others in
the open source community. Contributions in the form of source code,
suggestions, or time spent testing, from the following
organizations and individuals, however, are especially acknowledged here
because they either provided key pieces of functionality used in the distro,
or have directly helped resolve technical road blocks in the development
of FaunOS.
Note
Please note that our acknowledging an individual or organization here does not
represent their endorsement of the FaunOS project; this is
merely a thank you page!
- Arch Linux. We can't rave enough about Arch. What a breath of fresh air!
- larch. Gradgrind's larch project has opened many doors on USBs. It's a "a live CD/DVD/USB-stick construction kit for Arch Linux".
- Jacman. PacTrac, the GUI front-end to pacman that now ships with FaunOS, is a modified version of Andy Roberts' Jacman.
- aufs. aufs is a stackable unification file system.
- Alan Stern. For his simple but important kernel patch allowing the USB device to be detached after the system goes into suspend mode.
And, of course, special thanks for the input and suggestions of the FaunOS community and for their testing this latest release!
